・Leading large teams (about 250+),which may include Area Managers and Operations Managers
・Managing the overall safety,quality,performance and customer experience of our Fulfillment Center operation
・Overall direction,coordination,and evaluation of site operations functions,including full accountability for setting and achieving operational goals,strategic planning,analysis and forecasting.
・Achieving stretch goals by coaching/teaching,establishing standards and developing mechanisms that will drive change and process improvements
・Mentoring Managers and Associates to develop leadership skills thus setting them up for success in their career goals
・Collaborating with support staff (HR,Finance,Facilities,Safety,IT and other Sr.Operations Managers)to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area,as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives
・Spending time on the floor to see first-hand what the data is showing on paper while actively engaging associates to both understand and eliminate barriers
・Drive quality,process change and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area to meet and exceed business plans
・Communicating key learnings and best practices to multiple layers throughout the network
【Basic Qualifications】
●Have strong people management experience,excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working with customers internally and externally.
●Possess excellent business judgment,able to step back and look at long term vision for the department growth.Be resourceful,able to manage ambiguity and prepared to get involved if needed.
●Be competent in two or more production or supply chain areas,with an impressive track-record of achieving results in a similar fast-paced logistics,distribution,manufacturing or engineering environment.
●Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and solid analytical skill capability to look at and find solutions for a variety of operational challenges.
●Extensive project and change management expertise.
●Thrive on change,inclined to operate with flexibility and commit the time required to get the job done.Work shifts,including weekends.Willing to relocate if necessary
●You are fluent in Japanese and English.Both verbally and written communication,including report writing skills
●Required Degree Any
●Preferred Degree Logistics or Engineering
【Preferred Qualifications】
●Ideally degree qualified in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/Manufacturing related discipline or MBA graduate.
●Knowledge of Lean,Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageous.
